Back of the Net, better known as BOTN was a league run for almost 4 years now. It started off with teams from the Premiership side in England and Serie A in Italy. It attempted to mirror the real life teams and had lengthy seasons.

The first major change took place with Division 1 replacing Serie A, in an attempt to increase the number of managers. After that, a player rerate was done, that made a few manager unhappy.

After losing the website due to either a virus attack or non-renewal of hosting, the original site, http://back-of-the.net (external link) was lost. Along with it a lot of managers left the game. An attempt to re-ignite the game took place and the league managed to get back on its feet. The orginal commishes were Doug Bruce and James Ward, with Doug going on to Oxford uni and losing interest in the game. James Ward and Cheyenne Hollis then took over running the site and the games

The new hosting site: http://thenewbotn (external link) now just displays the root directory. Up-to-date information may be obtained at http://botnadmin.proboards27.com (external link)
